Biography: Robert Ian Goodman
Robert Ian Goodman is a lawyer who actively counsels clients in a broad range of interconnected practice areas, including commercial domestic and international litigation, business law (including intellectual property law), immigration law, employment law, and export law. He is principal attorney of Goodman Law, based in Westchester County, New York and is also counsel to the New York City based, boutique international commercial law firm--Sharma & DeYoung, LLP-- for whom Mr. Goodman serves as Director of Immigration and Employment Law Services. Mr. Goodman has represented companies in numerous capacities-- as outside general counsel, litigation counsel, and as immigration counsel. He also provides consulting services to law firms and businesses covering a wide range of legal subject matter relevant to promoting the development and implementation of effective legal risk management programs and policies. Mr. Goodman graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1986, from Tufts University, Medford Massachusetts, with a Bachelors Degree in International Relations and is a 1990 graduate of the Columbia University School of Law. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the World Trade Council of the Westchester County Association and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mr. Goodman participates in a number of business associations dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and business to business relationships. Mr. Goodman is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the District of Columbia as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. |
